Mr. Brum is a partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, where he is chair of the firm's Corporate & Securities Department, the largest such practice group on Long Island. He is also a member of the Corporate Governance Practice Group.

A lifelong New Yorker, Mr. Brum began his legal career at several midsized New York City law firms, specializing in major corporate transactions. The experience and skill he acquired during this time equipped him for the significant domestic and international transactions for which he is renowned today.

Early in his career, Brum was a co-founder of a data storage company, which was eventually sold to a large conglomerate. This entrepreneurial experience proved invaluable, affording him insight and firsthand knowledge of the business issues and pressures facing today’s business leaders.

Mr. Brum personally services some of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek's largest public and private clients, and is known for his longstanding relationships with his clients. Mr. Brum's practice also focuses on the representation of entrepreneurs, high technology and emerging growth companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, initial public offerings and debt financings.

For more than 25 years, he has been a sought-after lecturer on a wide variety of topics including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, venture capital, ESOPs, succession planning and other corporate and securities law topics before groups of attorneys, accountants, trade associations, senior bank executives and other business groups.

Mr. Brum is a member of the Board of Directors of the Long Island Capital Alliance, the nation's oldest venture capital group, and serves as its General Counsel. He is frequently quoted and sought after by the media for his insights, and has been quoted by the New York Times, Newsday, Long Island Business News and other publications. In 2008, Mr. Brum was honored as the winner of the prestigious ExecuLeaders Award for Excellence in Law.
