William McDonald is an associate in the Firm's Health Care Law and White Collar Criminal Practice groups.
Prior to joining Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, Mr. McDonald was employed with a major Long Island-based medical malpractice firm, where he defended doctors and hospitals against malpractice suits.
Mr. McDonald began his career at the Nassau County District Attorney's Office and then moved to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. During that time, Mr. McDonald tried cases involving theft, DWI, and violent crimes, and he investigated and prosecuted street gangs, complex white collar and organized crime, and conspiracy to commit murder. His prosecutions took him into federal court, where he served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney. Mr. McDonald's investigative experience encompassed extensive use of electronic surveillance, investigative subpoenas, search warrants, wiretaps and pen registers.
During law school, Mr. McDonald was an active competitor in all the school's moot court boards, and he was Editor in Chief of the Buffalo Journal of International Law.
Mr. McDonald is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
