Christine McInerney is a partner at Ruskin Moscou
Faltischek, P.C., where she is a member of the firm's Litigation
Department and Intellectual Property Group. McInerney’s practice focuses
on commercial and business litigation in state and federal trial and
appellate courts, and in various arbitral forums. She has substantial
experience in cases and representations involving intellectual property
and technology. She has also litigated a variety of commercial cases
involving issues of contracts, accounting, restrictive covenants,
business fraud, and business dissolutions.
She graduated
cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center and received her
undergraduate degree with highest honors at the State University of New
York at Stony Brook. At Georgetown, Ms. McInerney was awarded the James
John McTigue Essay Award for legal writing. While at Stony Brook, Ms.
McInerney was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was awarded a Commendation
for Outstanding Leadership and Service.
McInerney is
an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association. She is currently
a member of the Board of Directors of the Nassau County Bar Association
and a member and former Chair of its Commercial Litigation Committee. She is also a
member of the New York State Bar Association and one of the Nassau
County Delegates to the New York State Bar Association's House of
Delegates.
McInerney was
named one of the Top 50 Women in Business by Long Island Business News
in 2005, 2007 and 2009 and is now a member of its "Hall of Fame." McInerney was named 2008 Business Woman of the Year by
the National Organization of the Executive Women's Golf Association. In August 2007, she
was honored as "Businesswoman of the Year" at the Long Island Business
News Third Annual Golf Classic.
In 2002,
McInerney was profiled by Newsday as one of eight Long Island movers and
shakers in the daily newspaper's Top 100 Public Companies issue, as an
example of "People of Note" in the Long Island business community and
was also named one of the 40 business leaders under the age of 40 by
Long Island Business News.
McInerney has
been featured as a speaker on a variety of topics at seminars and
presentations offered by her firm, by local business groups and by the
State and local Bar Associations. She has also has authored a number of
articles on a variety of legal topics that have been published in the
New York Law Journal, the Nassau Lawyer, Copyright World, and in firm
publications.
McInerney was
the Founding President of the Executive Women’s Golf Association, Long
Island Chapter, which has more than 900 members and is currently the
largest chapter in the organization. She is a member of its Advisory
Board. Long Island Golfer Magazine profiled McInerney in their
March/April 2002 edition as one of the significant Women in Golf on Long
Island. McInerney also was featured by Networking Magazine in its May
2005 edition. McInerney is also a member of the Executive Board of
Directors and Treasurer of the nonprofit Child Abuse Prevention
Services.
