Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today that,
effective immediately, partner David
Leno has been named chair of the firm's Zoning & Land
Use practice group. He also serves as a member of the firm's
Real Estate Department and Commercial Lending practice
group.
A resident of West Hempstead, New York, Leno advises clients
on all aspects of real estate transactions. In that
capacity, he negotiates and prepares transactional and
financing documents, conducting complex lease and purchase
closings for commercial and residential properties.
In his role as a zoning and land use professional he
prepares submissions to town boards and planning commissions
for zoning matters, including variances, special use permits
and subdivision applications. He is a sought-after lecturer
on zoning and land use topics and has taught several CLE
programs on zoning-related issues. He has also been
extensively published on a variety of zoning and real estate
topics. In 2007, the Long Island Business News named Leno as
one of Long Island's rising stars by honoring him with a
"Top 40 Under 40" award.
Leno presently serves as a Trustee of the Old Westbury
College Foundation, is a President's Council Member of Big
Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island and serves as a member
of the Knights of Columbus. He is active with the Chaminade
Alumni Lawyer's Association and assisted in the formation of
the Chaminade Alumni Businessmen's Association.
