Michael L. Faltischek Named Chairman of the Executive Board of the
Long Island Angel Network

Uniondale, Long Island, New York, January 20, 2010 - Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. announced today that senior partner Michael L. Faltischek has been named Chairman of the Executive Board of the Long Island Angel Network. The Long Island Angel Network, a not-for-profit corporation, provides exposure and access to early-stage capital for Long Island-based companies or companies that are moving to Long Island and are in need of capital.

Faltischek, who previously served as secretary to the organization, will spearhead plans to restructure the organization by adding business advisory services, expanding the current board and focusing on funding to start-up technology and biotechnology companies.

As a member of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek's Corporate and Securities Department, Faltischek advises entrepreneurs, business enterprises and middle market and early stage companies on corporate finance, governance, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning and international business transactions. He founded and is chair of the law firm's Energy Practice Group, which focuses on the unique needs of the energy industry.

In 1995, Mr. Faltischek was appointed as a Trustee to the Board of the Long Island Power Authority and served until 2001. In 2007, he helped found the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center in Stony Brook, NY. He is General Counsel to the Center and serves as Vice Chairman of its Advisory Board. A long-time leader in community activities, Mr. Faltischek has served on the Board of Directors of the Long Island Association since 2001.
